Who would want the comforts of home on her honeymoon? This detour from the tourist triangle (Cartagena, Medellin, and Bogota) turned out to be culturally enlightening. While hiking around national parks, the owner of our "hotel" - Mario - gave us the history on how his home of One Hundred Years of Solitude turned into a battle zone of coca plant growers and paramilitaries vs the forces of the war on drugs.
